Kudos to our Students of the Month for May, who were honored during last week's Board of Education meeting! Congratulations to Matthew Ciarimboli from Marlboro High School and Christopher Perkowski from Marlboro Elementary School. Marlboro Middle School's Student of the Month was not present at the meeting and will be honored next month. Additionally, Grace Cerone, Marlboro Elementary School's April Student of the Month, was recognized after being absent from last month’s meeting.

This is a reminder that the Marlboro Central School District will be closed on Monday, May 26, in honor of Memorial Day. In addition, Friday, May 23, is a snow day "give back" day and schools will be closed. Enjoy the time off and please keep in mind all those who served and sacrificed their lives in the armed forces.
While you're out voting today (May 20) at 21 Milton Turnpike, don’t forget to check out the Districtwide Art Show, on display throughout the hallways of the Central Office building. An opening reception celebrating our student artists will take place from 5-7 PM. The show, which features a wide variety of artwork created by students in Grades K-12, will be on view through May 27.

Please join us in congratulating Marlboro Elementary School teacher Monica Taddeo and Marlboro Central School District School Resource Officer Curt Fulton, who were honored at the Mid-Hudson School Study Council's annual meeting on May 7. Taddeo received a Teaching Excellence Award, and Fulton was presented with a Golden Apple Award. These dedicated and hard-working individuals are integral members of our Dukes team, and they are more than deserving of this recognition. We were thrilled to celebrate them on this very special evening!

The hearing, along with a Board of Education Workshop Meeting, will be held in the Grade 3-5 cafeteria at Marlboro Elementary School. Don’t forget to participate in the annual school budget vote and Board of Education election on Tuesday, May 20, at the Town of Marlborough Court Room. Polls will be open from 6 AM to 9 PM.
