Exciting news! Marlboro Elementary School students Grace Stalter and Reagan Barnard were recently recognized for completing the 1,000 Book Project! Sponsored by the Marlboro Faculty Association, the 1,000 Book Project is a reading program that motivates children and caregivers to read 1,000 books together. To participate, children can visit the Marlboro Free Library or the Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library in Milton to begin borrowing pre-made bags of books, each of which contains ten books. Congratulations, Dukes. What a wonderful accomplishment!
It's that time of year again! Cases of the flu and other illnesses are on the rise, and the Marlboro Central School District would like to share these tips to help prevent the spread of viruses:
🧼 Wash hands frequently with soap and water.
🤧 Cough or sneeze into a tissue or your elbow, not your hands.
🚫 Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
🍴 Don’t share utensils.
👥 Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
🏠 Stay home if you are feeling ill.
Remember: If your child gets sick, they will need plenty of rest and lots of fluids. Please keep your child home from school until their symptoms subside or for at least 24 hours after their fever is gone without the use of fever-control medicine. This helps prevent spreading illnesses to others.
If you are worried about your child or have any questions about their illness, contact their health care provider or their school nurse.

This is a reminder that the Marlboro Central School District will be closed from Monday, December 22, through Friday, January 2, for its annual Winter Recess. The Marlboro Central School District Board of Education will be holding a special meeting tonight (November 24) at 6:30 PM in the Administrative Conference Room at 21 Milton Turnpike. The Board will immediately enter into executive session for the purpose of discussing pending litigation and obtaining advice from legal counsel. No action will be taken following the executive session.
This is a reminder that the Marlboro Central School District will be closed from Wednesday, November 26, through Friday, November 28, for its annual Thanksgiving Recess.

Several groups at Marlboro High School, including FYE, Dukes Care, the Leo Club, and more are sponsoring a Meal Kit Food Drive now through December 12. The students are collecting non-perishable food items in jars, cans, and boxes to create meal kits for local families this holiday season. Every donation helps make a meaningful difference! Please drop off donations at Mrs. Milkins at the High School. Thank you for supporting our community!
Don’t forget! District-wide Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place on November 24 and 25. As a result, Monday, November 24, will be a half-day for Marlboro Elementary School students only. On Tuesday, November 25, all students in Grades K-12 will have a half-day.
