The Marlboro Central School District Board of Education will be holding a workshop meeting on Thursday, November 6. The meeting will be held in the Town of Marlborough Court Room, which is located at 21 Milton Turnpike, beginning at 7 PM.

Congratulations to Sarah Maouris, a speech-language pathologist at Marlboro Elementary School, and Theresa Laraia, secretary to the superintendent of schools, secretary to the Board of Education, and deputy district clerk, who were presented with Awards for Excellence from the Mid-Hudson School Study Council during an event in Middletown on October 29. These dedicated and hard-working individuals are integral members of the Marlboro Central School District team and are more than deserving of this honor. We were thrilled to celebrate them on this very special evening!
Students at Marlboro Elementary School showed their support for Red Ribbon Week on October 30 by proudly wearing red—a reminder that life is a puzzle, and the best way to solve it is to stay drug-free! This is a reminder that Friday, October 31, is a half-day for students. Marlboro Middle School students will be dismissed at 10:20 AM, Marlboro High School students will be dismissed at 10:30 AM, and Marlboro Elementary School students will be dismissed at 11:20 AM.

It’s National School Lunch Week! This week shines a spotlight on the importance of healthy, balanced meals that fuel our Dukes’ success—both in and out of the classroom. Research shows that students enjoy some of their healthiest meals at school, and school meal programs play a key role in promoting good nutrition, overall wellness, and academic achievement.

Reminder: The Marlboro Central School District will be closed on Monday, October 13, in observance of Columbus Day.
REMINDER: There will be a District-wide early dismissal drill on Friday, October 10. All Marlboro schools will dismiss students 15 minutes early. The purpose of this annual drill is to test the evacuation procedures outlined in the District’s Emergency Management and Disaster Preparedness Plan. The New York State Commissioner of Education requires all public schools to conduct this drill each year. Please make arrangements for your children to arrive home early on this day. We appreciate your cooperation!
