Marlboro High School (MHS) proudly announces Noah Ernst as the Class of 2026 valedictorian and Marlie Lanzoni as the Class of 2026 salutatorian. Both students have excelled academically throughout their high school careers while also participating in a wide range of sports and extracurricular activities.
Noah, who earned a weighted GPA of 101.225, has maintained a full and rigorous course load, including College English, Astronomy, Pre-Calculus, Principles of Management, Public Policy, Economics, Spanish, and AP Language and Composition. He has also been actively involved in numerous extracurricular activities, including Drama Club, Track and Field, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, FCCLA, Youth and Government, Safe School Ambassadors, Teen Advisory Board, and Chamber Choir.
Noah’s high school accolades include participating in the NYSSMA All-State Mixed Choir, competing as part of a Section IX–qualifying 4x800-meter relay team, and playing the role of Frederic Clead in “The Pirates of Penzance” in the Marlboro High School Spring 2026 musical.
Noah’s advice to underclassmen is, “Don’t procrastinate. The best-quality work takes the most quantity of time!”
Noah, the son of Tracey Ernst, will be attending Marist University in the fall, majoring in business administration/management with a double minor in theatre and music.
Marlie’s weighted GPA is 101.057. She has maintained a rigorous course schedule at Marlboro, including AP Language, College Spanish, College U.S. History, College Public Policy, College Economics, AP Statistics, AP Calculus, College Biology, College Chemistry, and College English.
A skilled athlete, Marlie is a member of the varsity tennis team and a proud captain of the varsity girls basketball team. She is also involved in extracurricular activities such as National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and Student-Athlete Leadership Team, and she serves as the Senior Class Secretary.
Marlie’s advice to underclassmen is, “Try not to stress every little assignment and thing, and focus on finding a balance between enjoying extracurricular activities and academics.”
Marlie, the daughter of Krista and Marco Lanzoni, will be attending her dream school—Binghamton University this fall, where she will be majoring in biology on a pre-medical track.
Rounding out MHS’s Top 10 for the Class of 2026 (in order of rank) are Emma LaPolla, Gianna Natale, Andrea Kuha, Pietro Loscerbo, Gael Vega, Gabriel Appler, Devin McLaughlin, and Abigail DeBenedictus.
