At the end of every rainbow, there’s a pot of gold—and on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, Marlboro Elementary School created its own.

Through the “Bowls of Gold” cereal drive, led by Grade 5 teacher Kristi Bogaczyk, the school community came together to collect an incredible 895 boxes of cereal for local food banks. Before the donations were sent off, students celebrated their impact by setting up a domino-style display, watching the boxes fall all the way to the “end of the rainbow.”

Thanks to this generosity, the donations will support families across three counties, benefiting St. Mary’s Food Pantry (Ulster County), Beacon Food Pantry (Dutchess County), St. Augustine’s Food Pantry (Ulster County), and Food for Kids (Orange County). Special thanks to the individuals who assisted with deliveries.

A golden effort for a great cause!
