Families' Frequently Asked Questions About Pre-Kindergarten

The application period for the 2024-2025 Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program will begin on January 29.

There are 89 tentative spots available for the 2024-2025 school year. Spots will once again be assigned using a random lottery process. The program is NOT first come, first served.

The UPK application period will be open through Friday, February 9. Applications will be available online here. Hard copies can also be picked up at the Marlboro Central School District office, located at 21 Milton Turnpike, on weekdays from 8 AM to 4 PM.

In order to be eligible for the UPK program, a child must reside within the MCSD and be four years old on or before December 1, 2024.

You will need to submit the following with your completed registration packet:

1. Proof of Birth (Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate, or Passport)

2. Two proofs of residency - one must be a mortgage, deed, or notarized landlord statement showing the physical address of your residence. The other can be one of the following: current driver's license, paystub dated within the last 30 days, voter registration card, social services or unemployment check, current utility bill with physical address, or property tax bill

3. Custody Papers, if there are custody restrictions

4. Photo ID for legal parent/guardian

5. Copy of child's most recent physical examination and immunization records
