The Marlboro Central School District spans two counties, Orange and Ulster in New York State. A suburban community along the historic Hudson River, Marlboro Central Schools encompasses four townships, Milton, Marlboro, Plattekill and Middle Hope with an average population of 12,000 residents.

The Marlboro Central School District has approximately 2,000 students in grades K-12. The students are housed in three buildings; Marlboro Elementary School (grades K-5), Marlboro Middle School (grades 6-8), and Marlboro High School (grades 9-12). Each building is encouraged to develop and maintain its own personality within the district’s overall philosophy. All schools benefit from active and supportive parent/teacher organizations and year-round educational opportunities and enriching programs.

Educational programs are designed to meet the needs of all students regardless of their ability or future plans. Classes are reasonably sized to allow staff to provide programs for students in need of remediation, as well as for those who are gifted. Approximately 82% of Marlboro High School seniors enroll in postsecondary education with many of the nation’s highly competitive colleges and universities regularly represented among their choices. Marlboro’s dropout rate is below 2% and standardized test results are consistently superior. An experienced seven member Board of Education that is dedicated to the welfare of students, governs the Marlboro Central School District. Annual goals are set by the Board and entrusted to the Superintendent, who has the authority to direct all functions of the District.
