Samantha Carney and Jackie Rivera

Marlboro High School’s Samantha Carney and Jackie Rivera recently attended the Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) National Leadership Conference in San Diego. This student-led conference took place from June 28 through July 3 and exposed thousands of FCCLA members to leadership workshops, college exhibitions, community service opportunities, parliamentary procedure, and more.

The Marlboro students were invited to attend as members of the New York State FCCLA’s executive council. Samantha is vice president of public relations and peer education, while Jackie serves as vice president of community service and competitive events. Marlboro FCCLA co-adviser Chelsea Zehnacker also attended the conference and was honored as the recipient of the National FCCLA Spirit of Advising award for her continued mentorship of students on the local, state, and national levels.

Congratulations!
