SWAT honorees

Twenty-three students were honored during Marlboro Middle School’s annual S.W.A.T. Breakfast on June 9. S.W.A.T. recognizes Students With Admirable Traits. This year’s honorees were selected by their curriculum-area teachers for exhibiting admirable traits both during and beyond the school day. This is part of the school’s mission to encourage students to exhibit admirable characteristics that will help them develop into successful citizens. The breakfast was attended by students, parents, teachers, and administrators. AnnMarie Giacoia was the event’s guest speaker. Giacoia, who is retiring after 30 years of teaching in Marlboro, spoke about what an honor it has been to work in the District. She also praised the S.W.A.T. recipients before presenting them with their awards. Congratulations!
