To recognize Hispanic Heritage Month, Marlboro Middle School’s Life Skills students hosted a Taco Luncheon Fundraiser on October 10 for faculty and staff—and it was a huge success!

In the days leading up to the event, students took an active role in every step of the process. Last Thursday, they took a field trip to Hannaford in Highland, where they planned the menu, grocery shopped, bagged, and budgeted for all the ingredients. The following day, the class worked together to wash, chop, and prepare toppings before assembling and serving made-to-order chicken and beef tacos—complete with all the fixings—for more than 25 staff members.

This delicious fundraiser raised over $250 for the class Opportunity Fund, which supports future learning experiences and activities. The students—and their teachers—are so grateful for the incredible support shown by the Marlboro Middle School community.

Great job to our students for serving up such a successful (and delicious!) celebration!
