
The Varsity Girls Golf team is heading to States! A big thank you to everyone who gathered at Marlboro High School this afternoon to give the team and their coach a spirited send-off. Marlboro High School is proud to share that 18 seniors have earned the New York State Seal of Biliteracy, recognizing their high level of proficiency in English and another world language! To receive this prestigious honor, each senior completed a culminating project and participated in an interview with a panel of teachers, counselors, and administrators. Kudos to Marlboro High School (MHS) social worker Meghan McMahon-Vigeant, who was named Q92 and TEG’s Teacher of the Month for May! In her nomination letter, MHS student Emma Bogaczyk wrote, “While she doesn't teach in the traditional way—within the four walls of a classroom—she is undoubtedly an educator. A special shoutout to freshman Alexa Trapani, who qualified for States for the third time! Her impressive score of 78 on May 27 bumped her up to third place overall. Kudos to our Students of the Month for May, who were honored during last week's Board of Education meeting! Congratulations to Matthew Ciarimboli from Marlboro High School and Christopher Perkowski from Marlboro Elementary School. Marlboro Middle School's Student of the Month was not present at the meeting and will be honored next month. Additionally, Grace Cerone, Marlboro Elementary School's April Student of the Month, was recognized after being absent from last month’s meeting.

Congratulations to our Marlboro High School student-athletes who competed at the Mid-Hudson Athletic League (MHAL) Track & Field Championships on May 22 at Rondout Valley High School. We are proud to share that the Varsity Boys team placed 3rd out of 16 teams and the Varsity Girls team tied for 6th place.

This is a reminder that the Marlboro Central School District will be closed on Monday, May 26, in honor of Memorial Day. In addition, Friday, May 23, is a snow day "give back" day and schools will be closed. Enjoy the time off and please keep in mind all those who served and sacrificed their lives in the armed forces.

While you're out voting today (May 20) at 21 Milton Turnpike, don’t forget to check out the Districtwide Art Show, on display throughout the hallways of the Central Office building. An opening reception celebrating our student artists will take place from 5-7 PM. The show, which features a wide variety of artwork created by students in Grades K-12, will be on view through May 27.
