Students speak with a faculty member

On January 14, Marlboro High School welcomed students in Grades 9, 10, and 11 to its annual Elective Fair, an event designed to help students explore the many course options available for the upcoming school year. The fair provided an opportunity for students to learn more about electives that align with their interests, strengths, and future goals.

During their Social Studies classes, students visited the Library Media Center, which was transformed into an interactive space featuring displays and information from a wide range of elective courses. Faculty members were on hand to discuss course content, expectations, and potential pathways connected to each elective. Students were encouraged to ask questions and engage in meaningful conversations as they considered which courses might best support their academic and personal growth.

As part of the event, students completed course interest sheets, an important step in the scheduling process. These sheets will help guide upcoming meetings with school counselors, during which students will review their interests, discuss graduation requirements, finalize course selections, and address any questions they may have as they plan for the year ahead.

The annual Elective Fair empowers students to take an active role in shaping their educational experiences while ensuring they are well-informed about the opportunities available to them. Marlboro High School is proud of its Dukes for thoughtfully considering their options and taking initiative in planning their academic journeys.
