Sarah Amodeo speaking with a student

Marlboro Elementary School (MES) is living up to its motto: A place of love and learning! This fall, the school launched No Place for Hate, a new initiative designed to help cultivate a culture of respect and kindness and foster a safe and welcoming learning environment for all

Developed by the Anti-Defamation League, No Place for Hate is a nationwide program that supports schools in their effort to celebrate diversity, promote respect for differences, and challenge bullying and bias at all levels.

A No Plate for Hate Committee made up of faculty, staff, and parents has also been formed to help guide efforts towards making a positive change in the school’s climate.

Students will continue to engage in a variety of learning activities throughout the year with the goal of having MES designated as an official No Place for Hate school.
