The Marlboro Central School District Board of Education recently approved the Superintendent’s recommendation to “pause” in-person learning for a period of one week following the upcoming Winter Recess, Presidents’ Week, and Spring Recess. For more information about these pauses, including exact dates, please read the article below or visit the following link for the latest issue of MCSD Connections, here: bit.ly/3gx8snk

Attention Parents/Guardians:

The Marlboro Central School District Board of Education approved the Superintendent's recommendation to "pause" in-person learning for a period of one week following our Winter Recess, Presidents' Week, and Spring Recess. This means that all Marlboro students will participate in FULL REMOTE instruction on the following dates:

  • January 4-8
  • February 22-26
  • April 5-9

The decision to pause in-person learning during these weeks has been made in an effort to help curtail the spread of COVID-19 in our community. The one-week pauses will allow for a period of quarantine or isolation following holiday celebrations and/or travel, while giving the District the appropriate time to monitor and trace any potential positive cases which may arise.

We are sharing this information now in hopes that our families will have adequate time to make alternate childcare arrangements, if necessary. Students and parents can expect to receive more detailed direction from their teachers as each week of full remote instruction approaches. The District is encouraging everyone to continue to follow good health and safety practices in the days and weeks ahead. Habits such as mask wearing, social distancing, and good personal hygiene will help us as we see the number of COVID-19 cases increase in our area. We appreciate your continued support.

Please contact the Superintendent's Office at 236-5804 with any questions or concerns.
