It’s Fire Prevention Week and to celebrate, members of the Marlboro, Middlehope, and Milton Fire Departments visited Marlboro Elementary School to reinforce this year’s national theme: "Cooking Safety Stars with YOU."
During the visit, which took place on October 13, students from all grade levels were able to get an up-close look at several fire trucks and learn about the various pieces of life-saving equipment that firefighters use. The brave first responders also shared important fire safety tips and helped the junior firefighters-in-training take turns using a real fire hose.
Of course, the visit wouldn't have been complete without a greeting from Freddie the Fire Truck, who delighted the young Dukes by answering questions and showing off his fire safety knowledge.
