I am incredibly happy to be starting my third year teaching 5th grade mathematics at MES, and I am incredibly excited to share my love for learning with all of my students. In our classroom, it is equally important to learn academics AND how to be the best version of yourself.
I began teaching in 2001 after graduating from SUNY New Paltz with a dually certified Masters Degree in Elementary and Special Education. I began my career in the Arlington Central School District and spent over 7 years there teaching 5th grade. While I loved my time in the classroom, I decided to take a few years off to raise my children at home. About four years ago, I began to feel drawn back to the profession I love so much and this led me to Marlboro. I couldn't be happier to continue my career with wonderful children and families from our community.
When I'm not teaching, you will most likely find me with my family. I have three children who attend school in Marlboro and a wonderful husband who teaches in a neighboring school district. We love to spend time together, travel and laugh. Just this summer alone, we spent time in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Florida and Maryland! I love to sing and have sung semi-professionally at weddings and community events since I was very young. I also love to dance, play games, write, scrapbook, and go for walks. I love to learn and am thankful to have a classroom full of "teachers" each day!
